Pinpoint Your Back Pain

2. Feels Numb in My Buttocks and shoots down my leg, sometimes into my foot or front of my thigh.

This could be SCIATIC PAIN, the condition is called Sciatica, a general term that includes any kind of inflammation of the sciatic nerve cord. The sciatic nerve is responsible for sensation and motor control to the buttocks, thighs, lower legs and feet. If the nerves are compressed or irritated at any point, pain can occur anywhere along the length of the nerve, or even skip from area to area. Causes of sciatica are varied including movements that require flexing/bending with twisting, excess weight, stress, having tight hamstring muscles (back of thigh), overuse of the muscles of the hip, and sitting too long, especially on a wallet in the back pocket.
